Thanks giving day

In the United States, the 4th Thursday of November is Thanksgiving Day.

Family gather and have meal thanking to the autumn harvest and blessings.

Family and relatives gathered at the mother-in-law's house (about 20 people) and had a dinner party.

My mother-in-law made many delicious meals.

I want to be able to make them someday.

Run Turkey Trot

It is easy to get calories on Thanksgiving day, a mini marathon called "Turkey Trot" is held for health in the early morning.

My husband and I joined and run 3 miles. We walked, but somehow made goal.

A small incident

There was a small incident that we could not get a commemorative T-shirt.

They said if they can't confirm bibs number they can't give us T-shirts. We got venue little late, so the bib's registration was closed.

I was shocked that we paid $78 and had e-mail receipt, and there are so many T-shirts left in box.

We gave up T-shirts and run.

Later, we contacted the organizer and explained what happened, they were apologized and said they can give T-shirts.

The day before yesterday was my first birthday in Arizona.

Shopping at Scottsdale mall

I got a gift card from my mother-in-law, so I went shopping in the Scottsdale shopping mall.

I got dress skirt.

To "BENIHANA" Teppanyaki

In the evening, my husband's family took me to a Teppanyaki restaurant called “BENIHANA”.

The chef cooked steak right in front of us and enjoyed the performance and conversation.

The family at the opposite table also having a birthday. Lastly, the staff brought desserts and sang a birthday song. ( in Japanese ! )

I'm really grateful for my family for the dinner and birthday gift.

(There is a picture of Jackie Chan at the entrance. I remembered I liked him and wrote a big “成龍” on corner of my desk when I was in elementary school. )

(As an aside, there was a song that happened to find on Spotify about a month ago, and when I looked it up, it was a DJ called “Steve Aoki”.

Looking at the founder of BENIHANA today, it is "Rocky Aoki", and a suggest keyword of "son", I looked up and came out it is "Steve Aoki".

I was surprised unexpected information. )

I start writing blogs today. I created this blog website using Python and Django for studying the Web development.

I will write something like a diary and doodle about life in America, Arizona and programming code.

Went to see a drone show with my husband

My husband and I went drone light show for Intel company's 25th anniversary near my house.

The venue was crowded with people working at Intel and local residents.

( Drone production team who had show at the Pyeongchang Olympics came. wow, nice. )

The number of drones was larger than I expected and looked like UFO attack. (like Spider-Man: Far From Home)

There was no powerful sound like fireworks, but it was very beautiful spread out all over the sky with music.

Fireworks are easy to burn in dry areas such as Arizona, so drone shows may be safer and good.

There may also be a drone show at the Tokyo Olympics.

The real thing is more beautiful than the picture, if you have such an event, I think you will enjoy it.

Food truck

(By the way, there are food trucks at American events instead of YATAI style food stalls. Various paints are colorful and feel America. You see food trucks more recently in Japan though.)
